About me
As an experienced clinician, I am able to offer specialised work with complex trauma.
I can offer interventions in the following areas:
Individual (1-1 therapy), attachment and developmental patterning/styles, developmental trauma, children and adolescents, addictions, post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, sexual harm.

Modalities:
This work includes using modalities such as, Somatic Experiencing work, life story work, trauma informed CBT,strength based approaches and sensory modulation. I have experience and training in the specialised areas of sexual harm and victimisation and addiction, as well as experience and training in comprehensive assessment, formulation and recommendations for intervention.
Alongside this, I have intensive training in neurobiological trauma work and integrate Somatic Experiencing into my interventions. This modality utilises the awareness of sensations in the body to help people re-negotiate and relieve the physical, emotional and physiological effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and other stress and trauma related problems.

My approach
My approach is explorative, curious and collaborative. I actively engage with clients to develop attunement and to create a shared understanding of the work we may do together.

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING® is a specialisation I am currently training in. There is a wealth of information at https://traumahealing.org/

"The Somatic Experiencing® method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders. It is the life’s work of Dr. Peter A. Levine, resulting from his multidisciplinary study of stress physiology, psychology, ethology, biology, neuroscience, indigenous healing practices, and medical biophysics, together with over 45 years of successful clinical application. The SE™ approach releases traumatic shock, which is key to transforming PTSD and the wounds of emotional and early developmental attachment trauma."
